Workshops
We are proud to announce workshops in January. These are taught by our very own Doctor friend who is a fantastic teacher (or so we say so ourselves). Come and learn more than you thought possible.
If you sign up for all of the classes and pay in full by the first class you will receive a $25 credit, thus getting all of the classes for only $200.
January 12th- basic suturing- $40 9am-noon
The doctor showed us things that Anne Frye never could. Our eyes were opened and I am a better suturer( is that a word?) than I was before
- Included in price is one suture, extras can be purchased for $3 each.
- You MUST bring a pigs foot to the class, can buy at local Mexican markets or Reams. No chicken or other meats please.
- Needle holders are available for use during the class or you can buy your own from us for $15 set. Or you can bring your own

This class is recommended for ALL people including seasoned midwives.
January 19th- Blood draws $40 9am-noon
- All supplies included but you must supply your arms and blood
- If you have blood draw needles please bring them. We will supply what we can here.
Februaury 2nd- Advanced suturing – $40 9am- noon
- Bring your own chicken breast for this class.
- Included in price is one suture, extras can be purchased for $3 each.
- Needle holders are available for use during the class or you can buy your own from us for $15 set. Or you can bring your own.
Februaury 9th- IV’s- $40 9am-noon
- You must know how to draw blood in order to take this class
- One IV catheter included
- Can purchase extras to practice on in class
- Bring your arm to practice on, or your friends arm
Februaury 16th- Medications -$25 -9am-noon
- Learn how to use the standard medications that a licensed midwife is able to obtain and administer to her clients such as
- Vitamin K
- Eye ointments
- Pitocin
- Methergine
- Misoprostol
- Ampicillian
- Ancef
- Any other medications that you have questions about
Februaury 25th- Injections-$40-9am-noon
- Learn sterile water injections for back labor
- Injections such as pitocin, vit K, Rhogam and others
- Needles provided
- Bring an orange to practice on
- You provide the back, butt and arms
